As we all know that this semester, the first week is not as packed as the other weeks. So after i arrived i've bought a book by Mitch Albom, the title is 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. I've read two Mitch Albom's books and both of the books have successfully make me cry. And the third book has the same effect. Although i kind of hate it but a good cry is actually good for me. This book is about how the writer himself meet up with his old professor, Morrie. And the twist is that, the professor is having ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) its the same disease that Stephen Hawking has. And the writer actually having his last class with the professor, the difference is that, the lesson is on life, and how we should actually live it....And in this book, the graduation ceremony took place at the funeral of the professor...This book also tell how many people that have been touched by the professor including the writer himself..And i cried at the end and fail to actually contain my tears...I believe that every time i read the last part, i would cry again and again...
so for the first article,i'm going to comment about the book that is written by him...THE MALAY DILEMMA...
the first publication of this book was around 1970.at that time, the malay people condition is not like today.there are so many of malays at that time did not go to university & even did not go to school.but for today,we have millions of malay people in universities.there are also difference that Mahathir state in the book between Malay people & chinese people...
this book also tells about the 13 May Tragedy...the tragedy that all of us know & remember...
well, personally,i said that some of the input that Mahathir put in the book is no longer relevant for today since a lot of things have changed...but for me,the book is a good reading material especially for Malay students because like it or not, there's still things that Mahathir said in the book, happened nowadays...
what Mahathir write in this book is actually the reality...the truth about how the Malay people think & make decision...there's a lot of things that we can learn & realize from the book....
there's a lot more things in that book...if any of you want to know...go find the book & read it by yourself!! ;)

for this first article,i want to share with you a truly remarkable book, that is mainly about finding one's true self and achieving one's dream. it is Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist, and as we're all chemistry student,i think the title is rather appropriate for this post (although it has nothing to do with chemistry whatsoever).the premise is simple,so does the language, but the effect on you is deep, and can relates to everyone that live in this world. the story plays around Santiago, a mere shepherd that is really content with his life, whose biggest dream is to marry a merchant's daughter. his life change abruptly after he dreams of a child asking him to go to the pyramid.after consulting a gypsy and encountering a weird king, which both suggested him to go to egypt, he starts his journey to egypt to seek for fortune.little that he knows his journey will change his perception about life as he met with some interesting people, including his true love. the story has an unexpected ending that left me thinking,'oh,at the end of the day, when you started a journey to achieve your dream,it's not about what you will get at the end of your quest, because you either get it or don't. what matters most is the experiences you will gain along the journey, that will mold you into a better human being'. this book's effect on me is remarkable,i finished reading it, twice, in just one night!(rare because i usually felt that it such a waste to read a book so quickly).so, hope you'll read this gem and left with warm and comforting feeling in your heart,as much as i do..
KE08034 LEE HUA CHYN (RACHEL) Today, I have read something regarding "chemist provide obesity pill" which was published on the BBC web. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7843061.stm). Pills will be given to those, whose BMI of 28 or more by pharmacists in UK. Just for your knowledge, the pill works by blocking the absorption of fat in the body and might bring side effects. I don't really agree with the production of this kind of pills. I don't think it will really help in losing weight. The most effective way of losing weight should be doing exercises and changing eating style, as well as living style. Once people addict on the pills, they will always want to rely on the pills. In my opinion, that’s not the appropriate way to encourage people to be more health concern. People might think that there won’t be any problem for them to eat fast food everyday as they have pills help them to solve the obesity problem. In fact, that is our responsibility to prevent obesity and to be healthier. Not the pills to solve our health problem.
Long vs Short hairstyle is the new article that i have read in internet.Actually,i was thinking that i want to change my hairstyle or not. That why i try find some article about hairstyle. Now,i want to share with everyone. If we realize that people change their hairstyle because want to follow changes of fashion. But actually,to cut or to change our hairstyle must think about severel things before we decide. That is facial structure as well as other features like nose, jaw lines and cheekbones.I know sometimes girl wear hijab they will not take serious about their hairstyle. But, i think now time we must changes this preseption. We know that our hair is aurat we not change our hairstyle because other people will not see our hair. But nowdays we must change our preseption about hairstyle because we change our hairstyle is not to show to public but want to keep our selfconfident. This because our health and tidyness of our life can effect our confident in our life.Actually, hairstyle is depend on our lifestyle. If a girl with an active life better they have some short hairstyle but, women that more matured they will loke more beautiful with long hairstyle. On the other hand, there have some girl will changes their hairstyle if their lifestyle is changes like top artist Bunga Cinta Lestari that have change her hairstyle after married. This because her husband that is Asraf Sinclair, like her in short hair because Bunga will not take too much time to makeup if want to go out. This article have make me decide what hairstyle that i want to make for this new year and i hope with this big changes will make me happy.

It used bling-bling design for alloy wheels which is symmetrical, the right and left sides of the car used the different design.. For the engines, it used proton’s campro engines..which is same ones like gen2 and waja campro.. Its brake is good. Its come with disc brakes on all 4 wheels and for the 1.6 high line model comes with anti-lock brakes.. Its also come with a tempest grey colour scheme.the interior is the combination of dark grey, light grey and silver The whole interior design looks very sporty and modern. It is suitable with that car..which is sport car.. For the safety features, it offers SRS airbags, pre-tensioner seatbelts, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and the anti-lock brakes (ABS). For the car’s security, it also comes with CAPTOR alarm and immobilizer system. That car comes in 5 wonderful colour; liquid orange, brilliant red, twilight blue, iridescent white and metal grey..
I would like to comment about the first article in our English book. It's about the car. During the class some of my friends had told the class about the own dream car. I don't know why that make me really love to be in the Toyota Hilux. Maybe because it was the first car that my boyfriend used to bring me to the town and fetch me home from the matriculation. His family are quite wealthy and the thing that really attract me is they have about 6 cars. They are Hilux, Gen-2, 2 Rocky cars, Honda Accord and BMW X5. Before this, they had Toyota Fortuner, Honda CRV, Mercedes.... But I still like Hilux because it looks big and tough. Recently, his younger brother tried to drive that car and suddenly he hit, a little, a car behind him. I was really shocked to see that the car was badly crushed but Hilux was still in its good condition. I was told that in front of it was truly metal and for sure it is hard to get crushed. I feel safe in the Hilux so much. So I would like to recommend to whomever that read my comment to choose this kind of car as their dream car because of safety. Safety first!!
I read Reader's Digest. I found something interesting. Snake massage. A spa in northern Israel offer that service. It's wriggling and hissing across the client's aching muscles. It's cost about $78. Normardhati Musatafa KE08043
I've read about the claim that been made by the University of Aberdeen's Face Research Laboratory which their research says that changes in testosterone levels affect the extent to which men and women are attracted to different types of faces. They completed four different test sessions that were each a week apart that been done on the volunteers. In each session, volunteers also being provided a saliva sample which was used to measure testosterone levels. and the result from Dr Ben Jones, a psychology lecturer, shows that people preferred different types of face in the session where their testosterone level was highest than in the session where it was lowest. as the result from whole test he conclude that When men's testosterone levels were high, they were more attracted to feminine women. When women's testosterone levels were high, they were more attracted to masculine men.
Reality: Girl married to a frog… It was not fairy tales story but a reality in a life where an 8 years old girl was married to a frog in a small village in India. 1 read this story from a news paper. That girl, who is R. Vigneshwari, from Pallu Puthupattu Village was chose as the bridegroom to frog. This is due to believe that the marriage will avoid them from bad things and bring goodness to the village… so weird! I can’t believe that there are people in this world that still believe the myth nowadays. It was an abuse mentally and physically to an 8 years old girl who doesn’t know anything about life. What will happen to her when she realizes that she was married to a frog not a man? Does she happy with that? An 8 years old girl should study, not married. I’m so grateful I lives in Malaysia where do not have that kind of believe. I’m totally assured that she will live in tears all her life. All girls dream to have a happy family, husband and children. No one can deny it. However if her husband is a frog, does she still happy with it? She maybe will get stress due to that old myth. Moral of the value, we must not be so fanatic to myth until have to sacrifice our generation…
30 Jan 2009..The.star.com.. 'Seattle shows little love for Lucy fossil exhibit'.... When I saw the title of this article at first, I thought that it was a set of skeleton of a girl being murdered and being exhibited!! It was the first idea stucked to my mind!..hehe.. Actually I had misunderstood… After I went through the article, I found out that Lucy was actually the oldest fossil of Homo sapiens, 3.2million years old!! Lucy had a chimplike feature that walked upright. Is that our great great great ancestor really a chimp?! It is all about evolution and the power of our mother nature! It is really interesting to know more about our root. No matter how far we had gone forward, don’t forget to look backward………..
dear miss intan, in my first comment, i would like to talk about an article which are about smile... everyone in this world wanna be the best and always looks good, right? have you realized that the only one thing that we express while we are in good condition or in happiness is smile?
smile is a facial expression formed by flexing those muscles most notably near both ends of the mouth. The smile can denoting pleasure, happiness and but can also be an involuntary expression of anxiety, in which case it can be known as a grimace.
There is much evidence that smiling is a normal reaction to certain stimuli as it occurs regardless of culture. Happiness is most often the motivating cause of a smile... Experts always says that ,start a day with smiles will make our day become so enjoy and cool.
Among animals, the exposure of teeth, which may bear a resemblance to a smile, is often used as a threat or warning display -In chimpanzees, it can also be a sign of fear.Politicians and leaders are often shown smiling as this is considered a sign of hospitality and confidence....right?
So, lets start our day with smile and stay cool in smiles....
my second comment will be about the most general issue since ten decade ago...which is about the global warming....
Nowadays, the earth has become so hot and that's caused by the effect of global warming. Everyone knew what is global warming right?
According to the wikipedia in the Internet,Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century.....due to human activity, since the start of the industrial era, for the most recent 50 years....
its also caused by greenhouse gas..greenhouse gas caused the infrared radiation that then caused the atmospheric gases warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface.... the major greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 36–70 percent of the greenhouse effect....
so we must do something to stop the global warming as we can reduce the gas that produced by the cars and smoke of factory..our planets safety is in our hand,it is our responsible to care it properly.
I’ve read ‘how animals show they’re happy’ in a book about animal, written by Augustus Brown, a journalist and author of numerous books, mostly in animal behavior. Laughter is best medicine. As saying goes like that. laughter is common to many species, not just us, human. Do animal laughs? huhu..and do you know how animals show they’re a happy? Rats at play chirp with joy. As you see what happen in Ratatouille..Dogs laugh by panting. When dogs make the panting sound they exhale a wider range of frequencies than normal panting. Scientist believe this is how a dog show that it is a happy and playful mood to other dogs. Ice-skating buffalos have been observed sliding across frozen surfaces, letting the joy out as they go. The horse ‘laugh’ is nothing of the sort. Male horses and zebras curl up their top lips to heighten their sense of smell to assess whether a female is ready to mate. This is known as Flehmen response. How do you show your happiness?
Do you like to watch animal planet. You must have heard about Steve Irwin. Recently I've read an article about him. He is known as crocodile hunter. Usually we heard about crocodile hunt man but Steve hunt the crocodile.....hahaha..His parent themselves were animal naturalist. So,it's not a surprise that Steve like animal. HE was raised at the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park. He has been taught to jump onto crocodile when he was 9 years old by his father. In 1992, he married with Terry Baines which is naturalist too. She joined Steve in every show and in 1998. their daughter Bindi Sue Irwin was borned.
For the first comment on article, I would like to comment about the “Balik Kampung” phenomenon which i had read from "Sin Chew Zit Po".
"Balik Kampung" phenomenon has become synonymous with Malaysian during major festivals, particularly when the festivals come with a long stretch of holidays.
This phenomenon has caused a ripping effect on all strata of society. One major effect of the “Balik Kampung” phenomenon is the large number of vehicles on the highways, which in turn result in massive traffic congestion just before and immediate after the holidays. Besides, city dwellers whose tend to rush back to enjoy the festive seasons with their loved ones can contribute to fatal accident. Based on most of the investigation, large volume of traffic, physical exhaustion, stress and drowsy state are the main roots of causing fatal accident.
In my point of view, if we do not want the much desired holidays to spell doom and disaster, we must all take a concerted effort to minimize its adverse effects.
I came across this article yesterday while searching for our national car,Proton Saga. Our country produced the 1st national car on 10 July 1985. Though it was definately an achievement that worth to be proud of, but still it faced competition for other company like the Mitsubishi. But our own national car has its own advantage as it is much cheaper and the handling is much easier too. All in all, I'm proud to be a Malaysian because our country has achieved what other big countries have achieved as well.
I've read an article from iluvislam.com that there are tips for a special friendship. First,be secrete admire with your friend. A good friend has never miss an opportunity to praise his/her friends. Secondly, don't proved his/her wrong in public. This will make your friendship in danger. Thirdly, try to understand your friend's problem and situation and try to soothe him. They usually kept their problem from their family or siblings, but tendency to speak up to their friends. Let they finish talking of their problem until their does not come out frustration. Fourthly, keep your friends away from mistakes. Tell them earlier what's wrong about that. Keep in mind that don't show their mistakes in public. Try to understand your friends' intention behind their action and try to analyze, and then you should only give your opinion. Fifthly, never let your ego spoil your friendship. The jealousy about their opportunity will make you to speak that their don't want to hear. Sometimes there would be clash between you and your friends, and both of you stop talking to each other for some times. It not all wrong if you speak first and try to apologize your friends no matter what. Sixthly, try to help your friends no matter what. A true friends will never want their friends depend on someone. Lastly, do not interference their life. You have right to tell the opinion about their life but you have not right to make someone what you wish. I hope these tips will helps you for facing your friend and friendship. :-)
Healthy strategies to maximize your rest…… 1.Prioritize what's most important to you and your family for the holidays - do what's most important, skip the rest, and don't feel guilty (this is also useful during the rest of the year) 2.Share the load by recruiting family members to pitch in more during the holidays (and get them in the habit for the rest of the year) 3.Give to others in ways that boost your spirits 4.Nap, if possible, if you're feeling tired or run down, even if only for 10 minutes 5.Eat healthy (balanced diet, lots of fruits and veggies), and avoid calorie-laden fast-foods 6.Drink water throughout the day, but minimize during the last few hours before bedtime 7.Minimize caffeine, and avoid it during the late afternoon and evening 8.Avoid sweets just before bedtime, to eliminate a sugar high 9.Exercise during the day to ensure your body is tired at bedtime, even if it's just taking a distant parking place and walking 10.Create bedtime routines - stick to a consistent bedtime, taking into account your body's rhythms. Have a bedtime ritual (brush teeth, remove makeup, apply night creams). Gently unwind by reading or listening to music for 30 minutes before going to bed, bringing the lights down gradually as you do so. I fall asleep to a relaxing CD, tuning out hotel noise when on the road 11.Check your bedding to be sure you have a comfortable mattress and pillows, and the right covers to neither get too hot nor too cold. In my opinion, all of the steps above are very useful to make sure that we always get enough rest in our daily life. If we do not have enough rest, we will not able to complete our work in the minimum time and we will always tired to do work. And always remember, even sleep is important, make sure that we did not overslept!! huhu
gasoline: At 12 cents a gallon (3 cents a liter), it costs about 30 times less than bottled water.
But falling oil income and sagging crude output could soon mean a pinch at the pump in oil producing countries like Venezuela, where hefty government subsidies have for decades guaranteed cheap fuel.
Iran is already cutting back, while Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has revived talk of a price hike for the first time in 12 years — a politically unpopular move that two decades ago sparked deadly riots in Caracas.
"One day, prices will need to be adjusted," Chavez warned recently in a televised speech. "We're practically giving away gasoline."
To spread wealth and buy support, many oil producing nations subsidize fuel for domestic consumption. Gasoline sells for as little as 39 cents a gallon (10 cents a liter) in Iran, 60 cents a gallon (16 cents a liter) in Saudi Arabia, and $1.52 a gallon (40 cents a liter) in Iraq, where prices were ratcheted up following the U.S. invasion.
The global economy has crashed, however, and so has the price of oil. The same countries that used billions from crude exports to subsidize gasoline at home, even as prices hit record highs elsewhere in the world, are now under tremendous strain.

for this first article,i want to share with you a truly remarkable book, that is mainly about finding one's true self and achieving one's dream. it is Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist, and as we're all chemistry student,i think the title is rather appropriate for this post (although it has nothing to do with chemistry whatsoever).the premise is simple,so does the language, but the effect on you is deep, and can relates to everyone that live in this world. the story plays around Santiago, a mere shepherd that is really content with his life, whose biggest dream is to marry a merchant's daughter. his life change abruptly after he dreams of a child asking him to go to the pyramid.after consulting a gypsy and encountering a weird king, which both suggested him to go to egypt, he starts his journey to egypt to seek for fortune.little that he knows his journey will change his perception about life as he met with some interesting people, including his true love. the story has an unexpected ending that left me thinking,'oh,at the end of the day, when you started a journey to achieve your dream,it's not about what you will get at the end of your quest, because you either get it or don't. what matters most is the experiences you will gain along the journey, that will mold you into a better human being'. this book's effect on me is remarkable,i finished reading it, twice, in just one night!(rare because i usually felt that it such a waste to read a book so quickly).so, hope you'll read this gem and left with warm and comforting feeling in your heart,as much as i do..

Today, I have read something regarding "chemist provide obesity pill" which was published on the BBC web.

I've read about the claim that been made by the University of Aberdeen's Face Research Laboratory which
their research says that changes in testosterone levels affect the extent to which men and women are attracted to different types of faces.
Reality: Girl married to a frog…
It was not fairy tales story but a reality in a life where an 8 years old girl was married to a frog in a small village in India.

No matter how far we had gone forward, don’t forget to look backward………..
dear miss intan,
in my first comment, i would like to talk about an article which are about smile...
everyone in this world wanna be the best and always looks good, right? have you realized that the only one thing that we express while we are in good condition or in happiness is smile?
smile is a facial expression formed by flexing those muscles most notably near both ends of the mouth.

:-)
Healthy strategies to maximize your rest……
1.Prioritize what's most important to you and your family for the holidays - do what's most important, skip the rest, and don't feel guilty (this is also useful during the rest of the year)
2.Share the load by recruiting family members to pitch in more during the holidays (and get them in the habit for the rest of the year)
3.Give to others in ways that boost your spirits
4.Nap, if possible, if you're feeling tired or run down, even if only for 10 minutes
5.Eat healthy (balanced diet, lots of fruits and veggies), and avoid calorie-laden fast-foods
6.Drink water throughout the day, but minimize during the last few hours before bedtime
7.Minimize caffeine, and avoid it during the late afternoon and evening
8.Avoid sweets just before bedtime, to eliminate a sugar high
9.Exercise during the day to ensure your body is tired at bedtime, even if it's just taking a distant parking place and walking
10.Create bedtime routines - stick to a consistent bedtime, taking into account your body's rhythms. Have a bedtime ritual (brush teeth, remove makeup, apply night creams). Gently unwind by reading or listening to music for 30 minutes before going to bed, bringing the lights down gradually as you do so. I fall asleep to a relaxing CD, tuning out hotel noise when on the road
11.Check your bedding to be sure you have a comfortable mattress and pillows, and the right covers to neither get too hot nor too cold.
In my opinion, all of the steps above are very useful to make sure that we always get enough rest in our daily life.
If we do not have enough rest, we will not able to complete our work in the minimum time and we will always tired to do work. And always remember, even sleep is important, make sure that we did not overslept!! huhu
Gasoline......is getting cheaper...
gasoline: At 12 cents a gallon (3 cents a liter), it costs about 30 times less than bottled water.
